I am currently in a rigorous but rather quick rehearsal for the premiere production of the new work, "Law of the Jungle," by Sam Downey. Sam is a classmate and friend of mine from Tisch and it's been a real joy so far to work with him on such an intense and physically demanding piece. What do I mean I mean by this? Well it's simple. I am a monkey. Most everyone in the cast is one as well. The story revolves around the animals of the jungle discovering democracy and all it's triumphs, inequalities and pitfalls. Also, it's about dang monkeys! I get to play a very brave Surili monkey by the name of Smaller Tom. What's with the name? Well you are just going to have to find out for yourselves by dropping by the show. The show is apart of the New York New Works Festival. Catch us at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row on Thursday, September 6th at 7:00 pm or Thursday, September 13th at 7:00 pm. Tickets are available soon here: https://www.nynwtheatrefestival.com/book-tickets. Here is a little sneak peek into monkey training!
